Jetzt mal kein Wetter. Wie schon erwaehnt, waren wir ja in der grossen Stadt im Moebelhaus. Nachdem ich dann noch etwas nachgedacht habe, gab’s keine Ausreden mehr. Farbe gekauft, Moebel teilweise ausgeraeumt (oh Schreck!), abgerueckt, Regale abmontiert, und los ging’s! Fuer mich keine kanadisch-gedeckten, neutralen Farben wie Cappuccino (Katrin weiss Bescheid!) oder skandinavisch-vornehmes Grau – geht ja gar nicht. Auch wenn ich im restlichen Leben Jahreszeiten liebe, habe ich in manchen Ecken gern permanent Sonne. Fertig bin ich  noch nicht wirklich, das Einraeumen ist nicht nur schoen und muss, muss unbedingt mit Entruempeln einhergehen. Zur Feier der Fast-Fertigstellung gab’s Kaffee und selbst gebackenen Kuchen mit der Nachbarin. Zitronen und Eier waren zu verarbeiten. Aber heute muss ich glaube ich erst einmal in den Garten, sonst gibt’s hier nie mehr Salat…
No talk about the weather today. As mentioned earlier, we went to the furniture store in the big city. I had to think a little more, but then there were no more excuses. I bought paint, emptied out some of the cabinets (yikes!), moved them from the walls, took the shelves off, and the reno was on its way! For me, no Canadian calm neutrals such as „Cappuccino“ (you get that, Katrin!) or stylish Scandinavian grey – no way. Even though I really love the seasons in the rest of my life, I prefer permanent sunshine in some corners. The kitchen isn’t really finished, and putting things back in their – new – places isn’t all that much fun because there will have to be some serious de-cluttering as well. To celebrate the almost finished state, I made a cake with lemons and eggs that I had way too many of and invited my neighbour over for coffee. But today will have to be a garden day, or we will never have lettuce…
